Halfway there!

Thanks so much to :iconpunkazzinc: for the premium account here! It means a a lot :) I'm doing my best to balance traveling, artwork, and costume making.
I had a crazy time in April, going all over the country. Now it's time to use my break to make some new costumes.

Goals for 2012:


  • Get a dedicated costume & modeling site up and running

  • Ship 4 new issues of my comic Indigo

  • Be an event model for a gaming event (again!)

  • Complete costume with some heavy casting/prop work

  • Put together a new sketchbook by the middle of the year for the rest of my conventions this year



I'll be at Fanime later this month, who else is going?

Hello! I'm Ashley Riot, an illustrator, model, writer, and gamer currently living in the windiest of cities. My passion and career are video games and comic art, but I also love to model & cosplay as a hobby.

I began cosplaying in 2002 for fun. After a few years, I got more into the hobby of costuming and started to learn the techniques for making better outfits. I made it my goal to portray characters to the best of my ability. Over time, this also turned into a passion for modeling in all forms where I put together outfits for a range of genres and styles.

When I'm not drawing or making new cosplay outfits, you can find me playing video games! There are so many series I love. I'm a former writer for GamePro and GameGirl. I now work making comics & games.

I watched your galleries and I must say that your pics are gorgeous. You're really a queen of the cosplay. Congratulations! You should try a cosplay of Blaze Fielding from Streets of Rage/Bare Knuckle (SEGA videogame), Ivy Valentine from Soul Calibur or Satellizer el Bridget from Freezing (manga/cosplay). I'm sure that you could get those characters off the ground. ;)
